Our History
The Minnesota Minority Junior Golf Association (MMJGA) began in 1987 when Minneapolis attorney F. Clayton Tyler invited a few friends to a golf tournament to support minority junior golf. Creating opportunities through the game of golf proved to be a powerful concept, and MMJGA, now a registered charitable organization, was formed.
The MMJGA Executive Committee and Board of Directors oversee MMJGA programs. Our committee and board members are united by a love of golf, and a deep commitment to disadvantaged youth.
